A Night of Fun and Networking: APGA's VIC YPF and ACA's VIC YCG Joint Event at Holey Moley

Last Thursday, APGA's Victorian Young Pipeliners Forum (VIC YPF) and the Australasian Corrosion Association's Victorian Young Corrosion Group (VIC YCG) came together for an unforgettable evening at Holey Moley. The event was a perfect blend of laughter, fun, and networking, attracting a diverse group of attendees from Asset Owners to Consultants, Contractors, and Suppliers across both the corrosion and pipeline industries.

The evening commenced with a warm welcome from the Holey Moley staff, who provided a brief overview of the night's proceedings. This was followed by opening remarks from Austin Bennett, Chair of both the YPF and YCG, who also took the opportunity to recognize the service of outgoing YPF committee members Ruslan Davletgareev and Zohaib Iqbal.

Participants were then divided into groups of four and embarked on a friendly competition across nine creatively designed mini-golf holes. The night concluded with an awards ceremony celebrating the best and worst scores, alongside pizza and further networking opportunities. This relaxed setting allowed professionals to engage with peers from different sectors, fostering unique learning experiences and the exchange of innovative ideas.

The success of this event underscores the value of collaboration between different industry groups. By creating spaces where professionals can connect beyond their immediate circles, we open the door to new perspectives and potential partnerships.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who attended and contributed to the vibrant atmosphere of the evening. We eagerly anticipate hosting more joint events in the future and look forward to seeing familiar and new faces at our next gathering.

Stay tuned for more updates and events from APGA and ACA, as we continue to build strong professional networks and enhance industry collaboration.
