The 2026 APGA Brisbane Golf Day provided the perfect conclusion to a busy week of industry activity, bringing members and guests together for a day of networking, friendly competition and collaboration in outstanding Brisbane conditions.
Held on the Friday following the Brisbane Dinner, the Golf Day offered attendees a chance to continue conversations from the previous evening in a more relaxed setting. It was particularly pleasing to see many familiar faces participating in both events and making the most of the opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the pipeline and energy sectors.
APGA events bring the industry together and provide opportunities to strengthen professional relationships and build connections that support collaboration beyond the event itself. While formal meetings and technical forums remain important, occasions such as the Golf Day also allow conversations to develop more naturally and relationships to be strengthened in a more relaxed setting.
Brisbane delivered an exceptional day for the event, with ideal conditions providing a fantastic setting for a full day on the course.
The standard of golf varied across the field, and there were few signs that anyone would be leaving the pipeline industry to pursue a professional golfing career any time soon. However, the enthusiasm was strong, the competition was friendly and everyone appeared to enjoy a great day.
Whether participants were experienced golfers or simply there to enjoy the occasion, the event once again demonstrated the value of bringing people together in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
