Discounts for YPF attendees at all APGA events

At the June Board meeting, the Directors discussed and agreed upon a groundbreaking proposal to make our events more accessible to young professionals. Recognising the importance of including and engaging young people in the pipeline industry, the APGA Board approved several key recommendations aimed at fostering greater participation among early career professionals. 

Expanded Discounts for the Annual Convention & Exhibition 

One of the most exciting developments is the extension of the Young Pipeliners Forum (YPF) discount. Previously available only to first-time attendees under 35, this discount (almost $700 less) will now be extended to all attendees under 35, regardless of whether it is their first time attending. This initiative reflects our belief that young professionals are crucial to the long-term success of our industry and association.

New Discounts for Networking Events, Dinners, and Seminars 

In addition to the expanded YPF discount for the convention, we are thrilled to announce that we will be rolling out new discounts for YPF attendees to our dinners, networking events, and seminars. These events are integral to the APGA experience, offering unparalleled opportunities for learning, connection, and professional growth. These will be rolled out over the next 6 months.

• Networking Events: Our networking events are designed to bring together professionals from all sectors of the pipeline industry. These gatherings provide a relaxed environment for attendees to build valuable connections, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations. For young professionals, networking events are a golden opportunity to meet industry leaders, mentors, and peers who can offer guidance and support. 

• Dinners: APGA dinners are more than just meals; they are experiences where attendees can engage in topical keynotes, have meaningful conversations, celebrate industry achievements, and forge lasting relationships. By offering discounts to YPF attendees, we aim to make these experiences accessible to the next generation of industry professionals. 

• Seminars: Our seminars feature expert speakers and cover a wide range of topics relevant to the pipeline industry. These sessions provide valuable insights, practical knowledge, and the latest industry trends. Note on YPF Discount

Overview: The Young Pipeliners Forum (YPF) discount is designed to encourage participation from young professionals within the pipeline industry. This note outlines the key terms and conditions to ensure fair and equitable distribution of the discount tickets.

Key Terms and Conditions:

• Limit Per Organisation:

  • Each organization is entitled to a maximum of one (1) YPF discount per event. This ensures a broad representation of different organizations at each event.

• Limit Per Person:

  • Each individual can only avail of one (1) YPF discount ticket per year. This policy encourages wider participation by allowing more individuals the opportunity to benefit from the discount.

• Availability Per Event:

  • A total of ten (10) YPF discount tickets are available for each event. This cap ensures that a limited number of discounted tickets are distributed, maintaining a balance between full-paying attendees and those benefiting from the discount.

Implementation:

• The discount will be applied on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Organizations must nominate the recipient of the discount ticket.
• Individuals who have already availed of the discount in a given year will not be eligible for additional discounts until the next year.

By adhering to these guidelines, we aim to maximize the outreach and impact of the YPF discount program, fostering greater involvement and professional development among young pipeliners.
