Date: Tuesday 23 September 2025
Time: 1:00pm – 4:30pm ACST
Location: 9 Cavenagh Street (EA Darwin Office), Darwin City, NT, 0800
Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at two of the Northern Territory’s most significant maritime infrastructure projects – the Darwin Ship Lift and Darwin Port.
This joint site visit, hosted by the NT Young Pipeliners Forum (YPF) and Engineers Australia NT, will give attendees the opportunity to explore these critical facilities and learn first-hand about the engineering challenges, innovations, and economic opportunities they bring to the Northern Territory.
The afternoon will begin with a project briefing at Engineers Australia’s Darwin office. From there, participants will travel by bus to the Darwin Port and the Darwin Ship Lift Project. On-site, you’ll hear directly from industry experts and gain valuable insights into how these projects support the Territory’s economy and future growth.
This is a unique opportunity to see the projects up close and understand their importance within the broader infrastructure landscape.
For safety reasons, all participants must bring and wear the following PPE:
Long sleeve pants
Long sleeve shirt
Hi-Vis vest
Hard hat
Steel cap boots
Safety glasses (provided)
Valid photo ID (required for Darwin Port access)
Please note: Participants will not be permitted on-site without the correct PPE and identification.
