The Australian Pipelines and Gas Association (APGA) is proud to announce the release of the revised Code of Practice for Upstream Polyethylene Gathering Networks in the Coal Seam Gas (CSG) Industry. This sixth version captures the latest industry learnings and reflects evolving practices to enhance safety and efficiency in the sector.
The revised Code incorporates significant updates, including improved design practices, updated safety protocols, and clarified requirements for network operations. With inputs from industry experts, including CSG producers, engineers, constructors, and manufacturers, this Code continues to serve as the definitive code for best practices in gathering network management.
APGA extends its gratitude to the Plastics Industry Pipe Association of Australia Ltd (PIPA) for their support and to all industry participants who contributed their time and expertise during the Code's preparation.
We would also like to thank Resources Safety & Health Queensland for their support during the preparation of Version 6 and remind users that the latest version of the Code of Practice is referenced in Queensland legislation with a transition period of six months from the release date to fully adopt the new version.
The revised Code will be accessible online and via request immediately upon release via the APGA Website. We encourage all industry professionals to review and adopt the new practices to continue promoting safety and operational excellence in the CSG sector.
